the me

Munira is a hobbit. She lives in a bubble and shares it with her husband (Huz a.k.a Hozi) her daughter (Amu) and a black Persian cat (Fuzzy). These make periodic appearances in her blog.

Munira likes to read, play Scrabble, do gardening, take pictures, sketch, paint, cook, clean, stitch, and has also been seen spending quite a lot of time just sitting around brooding about stuff. Lately she has taken to writing about stuff that she broods about.

Hopefully, through this here blog, she’ll be able to share glimpses of life in her corner of the sprawling city that is Karachi, and at times perhaps some other corners of her country that is Pakistan.

  2. Hi Munira – thanks for the sweet things you said on my Class Factotum archive blog. I also have my double-secret probation Gold-digger blog where I tell almost all about my evil in-laws. Next time you comment, leave a link back to your fab blog so my readers can find you!

      1. LOL!! That’s okay eva626, I forgive you! And yes, cleaning is fun! Especially re-organizing cupboards and drawers, that’s my favourite ๐Ÿ˜‰
Btw, you aren’t related to experiment626 are you? ๐Ÿ˜€

Here’s a place to post things that don’t fit on your personal blog. Please come visit, tell your friends, twitter, or submit a post if you want to but remember, it’s totally ANONYMOUS, so leave all real names out of it! (Go ahead and erase this post if you want– it’s for your eyes only.)

  6. Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, Munira! I’ve never been to Pakistan–New Delhi is the closest I’ve gotten. Your blog is fascinating, and the photos on your photo blog are stunning!

  7. Quite an artistic hobbit, she is ๐Ÿ˜› It’s rather…unusual to find so much peace in the life of a blogger from Karachi. Or perhaps you look at life through a lens of innate goodness and hence the blog ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Munira the hobbit-what kind are you? A Took, Baggins or Brandybuck? Since I’m a hopeless LOTR fan and everything middle-earth: I had to stop & say hi! I am reminded of a Tolkeinism: ‘not all who wander are lost’. Great work! Thanks,
    Asad

    1. Asad!!!!! You visited!!!!
Most tickled am I….. *grins ear to ear*…..and as far as hobbits are concerned, I think I’m a pretty good combination of all three clans….they were all related anyway ๐Ÿ™‚

‘Not all who wander are lost’, eh? This should be my tagline!!

  9. The things you love make for a happy life. You seem to be concentrating on the positive things, I love your photos. They’re beautiful!

Maybe you can blog one day about SCRABBLE. Is there anything you’d like to tell your readers about this game?

    1. Awww, thanks Aunty Uta! Funny you should say that, because I think Iโ€™m a negative person mostly
And what can I say about Scrabbleโ€ฆ.itโ€™s such an addictive game, and so much fun, especially when you come across interesting people as opponents. I have made so many virtual โ€˜friendsโ€™ through it, apart from the fact that I staved off so many hours of boredom!

  10. Congratulations! You must be so proud! You know what I mean, I just can’t answer the normal way so here I am! ๐Ÿ™‚ The pictures are amazing, and I love the new one!

  11. Munira, I saw your comment on my blog about subscribing and I’m afraid I have no idea how to set that up! But I do try to post once a week, usually on Thursday, if that helps.

    Ta,

    The GD

    1. That helps! I just need reminders, otherwise I forget, and that is the biggest problem here. By the time I remember to visit you, there is so much to catch up on!
Wish you were on WordPress ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

    1. Good to be described as sensible for a change! ๐Ÿ˜€ Do you live in Karachi too? Because most who live here have a love-hate relationship with it, as do I. Thank you for your lovely comment….made my day it did!
