A friend asked me to make her something for a bare wall in her sitting room. She wanted something floral. So I searched for images to find something I could work with and this is what I found.
And this is what I did with it…..

It’s a 2’x2 1/2′ canvas, worked with oil pastels. She and her husband wanted lots of orange and yellow in it, very different from the cool blue-y sketch I did at first. I sure hope she likes it. Fingers crossed. Now to get it framed 🙂

Well Ms. M…how soon can you get one of these gems across the border do ya think??!! Well done girl:) Would love to see it in its frame too!

Would LOVE to use one of your own images to play around with H! And I’m sure I could figure out a way to send it to you…..let’s see if we can work it out 😉
I picked it up from the framers today and dropped it off at my friend’s place in the afternoon. The frame I chose not only goes with the texture of the oil pastel, but also her upholstery!
Didn’t get a chance to take a picture of it in its frame though. You’ll have to take my word for it when I tell you…it looked pretty good…excuse me for saying so myself 😉

Am totally going to take you up on this M!! Shall I send you a pic of a dragonfly I took? I’m sure there are courier services that would work right?? Unless of course you prefer to come over and holiday here in Goa 😀 You know you’re welcome any time!! 🙂

absolutely loved the picture and what you eventually did with it. In the near future, if i manage to settle down and have my own white picket fence, i’d definitely get some stuff done from you to frame in my wee house. 🙂

I want to be in the zone YOU were in in Andalucia, Alan!! You did some really fun things with your paintbrush out there…very very creative. I’m sure the sangria helped in making those juices flow 😉
We should totally start our own Mutual Admiration Society.
